Whether you are new to pistol shooting,
or already have some pistol shooting experience,
the NRA Basic Pistol Class may be for you.

In this class you will learn
the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude
necessary for owning and using a pistol safely.
Some of the topics covered will be:
NRA rules for safe gun handling.
Types of pistols and their parts.
How to handle a pistol in a safe manner.
Components and firing sequence of a cartridge.
How to properly store ammunition.
Cartridge malfunctions.
Fundamentals of pistol shooting.
What is needed to clean a pistol.
How to safely clean a pistol.
And more.

We allow anyone over age 16 to participate in our NRA Basic Pistol class. Although, we require that participants under the age of 21 be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the shooting range portion of the class.
Bring your own soft drinks, snacks, and lunch. You need enough to get through a 10 hour day.
Bring ear and eye protection for anyone that will be at the shooting range.
We will supply 22 caliber handguns for this class.
You may use your own 22 caliber revolver or semi-auto pistol.
(All pistols must be in a case or container of some sort.)
(If you want to use your own pistol, it will be subject to our inspection for safe condition)
(22 caliber ammunition will be provided by us.)
We accept cash or check. (Sorry, we do not accept credit cards at this time.)
We will E-mail directions to you when you sign up for your class.
Total Cost for this class is $85.
You get $20 off the regular price of our Concealed Carry Weapons Permit class if,
you take our CCW Permit class, within 1 year of our NRA Basic Pistol class.
